The danger points at the eight unsecured level crossings in Fischbachau are to be defused bit by bit.

How, the head of the town hall has now informed the citizens.

Fischbachau

– Residents are annoyed by the honking of the trains, drivers, pedestrians and cyclists fear the risk of accidents, rail passengers are disturbed by the fact that the journey is slow for safety reasons: Unsecured level crossings have disadvantages for all sides.

There are eight of them in Fischbachau.

When it comes to solving the problem, however, opinions differ.

While the railways would prefer to close the facilities for cost and timetable reasons, the municipality and its citizens would like technical security with barriers.

At the citizens' meeting, a resident has now inquired about the current status by submitting an application.

Mayor Stefan Deingruber (CSU) has not yet been able to provide conclusive information.

The responsible DB Netz AG has already been on site twice.

With the result that at least two level crossings are to be restricted: the one on the Moosweg and the one on the Krugalm.

The planning documents are currently being prepared for the Moosweg, reported Deingruber.

Closures only with the consent of property owners

The head of the town hall was able to take away the fear of sudden closures from the residents.

Even if the transitions only lead to the accessibility of a single plot of land or agricultural field, the consent of the respective owner is always necessary.

In the meantime, Hagnbergstraße, as a publicly dedicated community link road, would only be closed if it was no longer important for traffic or if there were overriding reasons for the public good.

However, neither is the case here, Deingruber assured.

At best, restrictions in terms of tonnage or residents are conceivable.

However, Deutsche Bahn cannot decide this on its own either.
