Rafaela Alves Santos, a 24-year-old young woman, died on Thursday November 24 in the
Bem Brasil Alimentos
factory , in Perdizes, Brazil, where she worked.
She fell into a machine at the plant that presses potatoes,

reports .
Indeed, while the young woman was sorting debris and potatoes on the unlit conveyor belt, the machine turned on again: she was violently dragged towards the mincer, under the frightened gaze of her colleagues who were trying, in vain, to switch off the machine.
Open investigation
An investigation has been opened to understand the exact circumstances of the death of the young woman.

We regret the death of an employee.
In accordance with our occupational safety policy, the investigation process has already started and has been entrusted to the competent bodies
,” the company said.
But, for her part, the mother criticized the company because it would not have warned her of the death of her daughter, but she would have learned about it from the media.
