"It's so cool": New vegan sausage tomorrow at many university canteens in eastern Bavaria

At the University of Regensburg, there are numerous vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu in the canteen.
Now there is also a vegan version of the popular Currywurst.
Regensburg – The Studentenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz is always coming up with new dishes for the canteens at the universities.
Last year they brought the so-called "Beat Burger" to the menu, instead of beef they used insects.
This stock consists of 33.5 percent Buffalo insects and was surprisingly well received by the students in Regensburg.

Uni Regensburg: Vegan currywurst now available in the canteen
In addition to the burger, there are also numerous other vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu of the universities in the Upper Palatinate.
"A new vegan recipe will be available in the canteen from November: Make room for our Gerstoni pumpkin curry!" the Studentenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz announced on its Instagram channel just a few days ago.
A short time later, the next news: "After the cafeteria chemistry at the University of Regensburg, we will also be introducing the vegan currywurst with fries in our canteens on November 28th."
The plant-based sausage can be tested in the following canteens – starting on November 28th:
Mensa TH Deggendorf
Canteen University of Landshut
Canteen at the University of Passau
Mensa OTH Regensburg
Canteen at the University of Regensburg
Mensa TUM Campus Straubing
Alternatives are well received by students: "The sausage is just so awesome"
The operators would be happy to receive feedback on social networks or in the app.
So far, the vegan offer seems to be going down quite well.
Under the sausage announcement you can read: "It's just so cool" and "We like it".
Barley curry "unfortunately quite bland"
The testers missed a little more pep with the barley curry.
“It was tasty in itself, barley is a great alternative.
Despite the different tastes, a little more spice in the dish would not be bad,” was the feedback.
Another person has a similar view: "Unfortunately quite bland, the recipe still needs to be tweaked!"
