18 citizens were injured of varying degrees as a result of the overturning of a passenger bus (Service) that was carrying them on the Tartous-Sheikh Badr road, and they were transferred to the General Authority of Al-Basil Hospital in Tartous.
Tartous Police Commander, Brigadier General Wafiq Abu Dallah, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the cause of the accident was due to a brake failure, which led to an increase in the speed of the service on the steep and dangerous road, which caused it to hit the fairway and exit from the road, pointing out that the passengers’ injuries are simple and moderate and there are no serious cases.
In his turn, the director of Al-Suda district, to which the municipality of Hussein Al-Bahr belongs, Lieutenant Colonel Nadim Zrebi, pointed out in a similar statement to the danger of the road at the site where the accident occurred, as the aforementioned site is a dangerous turn, explaining that the injured were transported by members of the ambulance system in Tartous to the hospital. to receive the necessary treatment.
