Police Organized Crime and Triad Bureau, Hong Kong Island Regional Anti-Triad Operations Unit, Western District Crime Wing and Operations Division, Marine Police Southern Division Inshore Patrol Team, Mobile Force and Fisheries and Nature Conservancy in the early morning hours Officers from the Department, the Competition Commission, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, the Fire Services Department, the Immigration Department and the Marine Department launched the code-named "Pine Tower" (PINETOWER), "Champion" (CHAMPION) and "Footprints" ( PRINTSTEP) to combat triads, illegal immigrants and illegal labor.

Meanwhile, a fish wholesaler was issued a verbal warning by the relevant department for violating the terms of the lease.

The Competition Commission pointed out that it had received complaints earlier that some wholesalers in the wholesale market were suspected of collusion in pricing seafood when setting the wholesale price of seafood, in violation of the "First Conduct Rule" under the Competition Ordinance ("Ordinance") .
During the operation, the Competition Commission collected information related to the case, including asking the practitioners of more than 30 fish wholesalers through questionnaires.
The Competition Commission is closely following up the case and will maintain close contact with the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau of the Police and other relevant departments during the process.
