The service meeting, which brought together the people and heads of the councils of the towns and villages of al-Lajat in the northern countryside of Daraa, with the concerned government agencies and institutions in the governorate, dealt with the reality of services and ways to improve them in light of the stability of security and the return of the people to their normal lives.

Those gathered in the hall of the government complex in the city of Daraa today touched on the reality of drinking water and the need to provide water wells with alternative energy while improving the reality of schools and creating new schools in Karim al-Janoubi or replacing them with prefabricated classrooms, which leads to the end of the mid-term and maintenance of all existing schools and providing them with windows and doors and teaching staff .

They called for providing the northern neighborhood in the town of Al-Masmiya, Kareem Al-Janoub and Majidel with electrical transformers to avoid frequent interruptions, expanding the organizational plan for the village of Karim Al-Janoub, creating a medical point in it, appointing a worker for the water network to undertake the tasks of maintenance and fair distribution, and constructing a bakery in the village of Karim Al-Janoub to secure bread for it and the surrounding villages, as well as a fuel station. Karim Al-Janoubi with quantities of gasoline, an increase in Al-Najih bakery’s allotments of flour, and the extension of a water line from the well of Al-Malzouma village towards the network.

They also called for paving the road to al-Mujeidel cemetery and the road leading to Kom al-Rumman, completing an agricultural road in Musayka, restoring electricity to the village of Musayka, and providing the people with shelter supplies through the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch and NGOs operating in Daraa.


The Governor of Daraa, Eng. Louay Kharita, confirmed that the governorate is always seeking to implement service projects proposed by the local community through town and village councils, indicating that the villages and towns of Al-Lajat need support and focus on service projects in a way that contributes to improving the reality of services.


The governor referred to the efforts made by the government to secure services related to the daily lives of citizens, indicating that the governorate will work to secure flour for bakeries in sufficient quantities to meet the need.

Hussein Al-Rifai, Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch, explained that the conditions that the governorate went through in the past years did not allow for the provision of services, pointing out that government agencies will work with the local community to meet the needs of the people of Al-Lajat within the available capabilities.

The governorate's police chief, Brigadier General Abdel-Alim Abdel-Hamid, explained that the police command is ready to provide services and address all citizens' complaints within the laws and regulations in force, stressing that the police command depends primarily on the people to control matters and enhance stability.
