On video: Itamar Ben Gabir's statement (Walla system!)
The outgoing Minister of Internal Security, Amr Bar-Lev, attacked the appointed minister, Itamar Ben Gabir, this morning (Sunday), saying that he does not think that the two will overlap when the position is transferred.
"I don't think he will be interested in it," Bar-Lev clarified in an interview on "Seven Tishine" on 103FM.
"I don't know what he will ask for and I don't know what I will grant. Overlaps between ministers usually last for short hours. One thing I promise - I will do my best for the internal security of the State of Israel."
The outgoing minister also said that Ben Gabir's entry into office endangers the State of Israel.
"We saw his immediate reaction to the incident in Hebron. This is a danger to the internal security of the State of Israel and a danger to democracy," claimed Bar-Lev.
According to him, changing the name of the position is not significant: "The title is really nonsense, you don't create essence with such and such titles, and Ben Gvir specializes in creating titles. A person who knows how to lead, also knows how to get along with the police commissioner, but many get confused.
Among them, also Ben Gvir."

Also, Minister Bar-Lev claimed that the incident in Hebron, in which a soldier hit a left-wing activist, was both a result of Ben Gabir's appointment.
"One of the soldiers said it means - that soon Ben Gvir will arrive and make order," explained Bar-Lev.
"This only hints at the difficult events that will happen in the future - settlers will attack Majd 202 as happened three weeks ago, and Ben Gvir and this government will say 'don't interrogate the settlers.
'" "These are difficult images that express the spirit of the times.
More than 50 years ago we conquered Judea and Samaria and still - for many, many years these phenomena did not happen, we did not see them.
Even against verbal provocation, a soldier has no right to do such a thing," said the outgoing minister about the incident in Hebron. "Let's not get confused, events of right and left demonstrations have also happened in the past, what has changed is that Otzma Yehudit received 14 mandates."
