Miesbach/district - "Show your talent" is the motto from July 14th to 21st, 2023 in the district of Miesbach.

The young talent festival is intended to offer artists between the ages of 16 and 25 a stage.

The organizers deliberately do not want to set any limits as to which genres should be represented at the young talent festival, but rather offer space for diversity.

Only one thing should be fulfilled: The participants must be between 16 and 25 and residents of the county.

What began as a conversation with Weyhalla boss Girgl Ertl at an event on International Women's Day in Weyarn has steadily thrived and gives a glimpse of a special summer of culture in 2023.

"KulturVisions Chairwoman Monika Ziegler remembers at the press conference in Miesbach: "We wanted to do something for the young people." Especially after the culturally rather dreary Corona years, young people who were particularly interested in art needed help to get started.

The idea: a young talent festival for all disciplines.

"Literature, poetry slam, fine arts - everything there is," explains Ziegler.

From July 14th to 21st, the talents between 16 and 25 get a stage.

If you want, you can get tips from so-called culture sponsors.

"The sponsors should encourage our youngsters to show themselves and pass on valuable tips from their cultural work," explains KulturVision.

One of them is director and musician Ben Blaskovic.

In order to position itself as broadly as possible in the organization, KulturVision has teamed up for "Show your talent" with WeyHalla, the Pop and Rock Center Oberbayern (PRO) in Otterfing and the musicians Kulturteam Munich.

The team around Selina Benda from KulturVision is supported educationally by Lena Renner.

She is the district youth worker.

District Administrator Olaf von Löwis has taken on the patronage.

Also on board are the Kultur im Oberbräu in Holzkirchen, the Waitzinger Keller and the Protestant parish center in Miesbach, the Holzkirchen Ballet School, the Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH and the Waakirchen cabaret stage.

In addition to performances, jam sessions and workshops, there will also be a panel discussion at the so-called Summer of Cultural Generations.

In addition to politicians and cultural workers, young artists in particular will have their say here.

Further information is available by email to talent@kulturvision.de.

A website for the young talent festival will soon be online.

The festival should also be available on Instagram soon.

"We want to see what young, lively people are there," says Girgl Ertl.

"I was flashed by the dimensions it takes on."
