Today, the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Land of the Levant Foundation, launched the procedural guide for solving school problems, to help psychological and social counselors follow scientific methods in dealing with real-life problems and contribute to building the integrated personality of the learner.
The guide, which deals with three types of problems (behavioural, psychological, and educational), aims to introduce the administrative and teaching frameworks to the behavioral, educational, and psychological problems that learners suffer from, their concept, factors, causes, types, manifestations, and the consequences thereof, and how to deal with them based on guidance programs that adopt sound intervention basics.
The guide includes problems such as beating, profanity, cheating, lying, property damage, theft, harassment, vandalism, smoking, complaining, jealousy, shyness, depression, academic delay, poor time management, morning lateness, sleeping in class, skipping school, dropping out, frequent absenteeism, poor time management, wrong study habits, hyperactivity, attention deficit, impulsivity, anxiety, and ADHD. tract.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa, indicated that the preparation of the guide came with the aim of working to create an environment free of problems, which stand as an obstacle to the educational and educational process, to develop the student's social skills, and to raise the level of his mental health, and thus reach a distinguished academic achievement, pointing out that it will be subject to modernization Based on the proposed field observations, by counselors, administrators, and teachers after applying it for a period of three months as an experimental stage.
Head of the Department of Psychological and Social Counseling in the Ministry, Dr. Sbeit Suleiman, explained the importance of the guide in terms of increasing the counselor’s ability to solve problems facing his students and linking the knowledge aspect with practical procedures that help develop the professional experiences of the counselor, and providing appropriate methods and strategies to deal with behavioral, educational and psychological problems, and that it helps To achieve psychological and social adaptation and get rid of the consequences of problems and their impact on students and society, indicating that the Ministry is working on introducing the procedural guide during a five-day workshop, starting from today, in the Ministry's building.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Land of the Levant Foundation, Basel Al-Dunya, pointed out that the institution, which is concerned with education, empowerment, development, culture, arts, sports, and purposeful entertainment, aims to build a safe future for future generations after the years of the terrorist war, which ravaged the individual and social life of the Syrian people, indicating that the Foundation, through its targeted programs, seeks to To be an effective and true support for government institutions in Syria, by participating in the authoring of scientific evidence that is subject to a process of continuous development and updating in line with facts, developments and changes.
