Following the deadly weekend in the city of Tira during which four men were murdered:

a general strike in the city was announced tomorrow (Monday).

As part of the strike, schools, businesses and public institutions will not operate.

One of the victims of the violence from the last few days is Majd Sheikh Yosef (23) who paid with his life only because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time - a shop in the commercial center at the southern entrance to the castle where he worked.

Unknown people opened fire on the place apparently in revenge for the murder the day before and hit him as well.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.

"Majed was against violence, he was murdered in cold blood when, after all, he was at his job," his family members said.

"He was the flower of the family, everyone loved him. He had nothing to do with criminals. He went to work in the morning and returned in a closet. Without harming anyone."

Also, the police estimate that the shooting at the ice cream parlor on Saturday night came as revenge for the murder on Thursday night of Iman Samara Wizen Nasar, in their 20s.

They were shot in their car near the cemetery in the castle.

Yazen Nasser's family pointed an accusing finger at the police: "Young guys are easily murdered here. There are a lot of weapons that circulate freely and the police are unable to catch them. This difficult situation will not end as long as there are weapons that circulate freely."

The mayor of Tira, Mamoun Abdel-Hai, said following the murders: "The feeling is very difficult. There is no security and it is difficult to bring security. You try to do everything to bring security to your community and you see that it is not happening. The police do not have the proper tools to take control of the situation In the Arab sector. The government should see what is happening in the Arab sector as a war. The matter requires a political decision. Unfortunately, the response of the police is like a paracetamol pill, nothing more."

Regarding Majed's death, the mayor said: "The feeling is difficult when there are murders and even more difficult when a person who has nothing to do with the conflicts is murdered. A person comes to earn a living and loses his life for no reason."
