SPD leader Lars Klingbeil certifies that the traffic light coalition has had a mixed record after the first year.
He rated the federal government in the "Bild am Sonntag" with a 3+.
Klingbeil complained about the lack of team spirit.
»A little less public argument also leads to better grades.«
He understands that the first year of government demanded a lot from everyone.
"But some of the discussions were too long, too public, too personalized." The coalition members would have to return to the political culture from the early days of the traffic light: "That applies again: we tackle it together without constantly measuring which of the three partners has prevailed where exactly.«
Discuss higher taxes for the rich
He called for more speed with reforms: “We built an LNG terminal in Lower Saxony within 200 days, but it still takes too long to set up wind turbines.” He also announced that the SPD would hold discussions about fair taxes in the coming year "Lead very clearly" and affirmed that those who had a lot had to do more to finance the common good.
The red-green-yellow federal government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz was sworn in on December 8, 2021.
The debate between Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) and Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) about the lifespan of German nuclear power plants should have been particularly memorable.
When there was no agreement for a long time, Scholz made use of his authority to set guidelines.
