“We are all exhausted, everyone is getting sick and some are already on the verge of burnout.”
This observation is made by a parliamentarian from the presidential camp a few days ago.
Like many elected officials from the Palais Bourbon, this deputy has been feeling
"great fatigue"
for several weeks, accompanied in recent days by a
"beginning of weariness"
.
"We can't continue like this, otherwise many will let go along the way,"
she warns, referring to the
"unsustainable pace"
that the deputies have had to keep since the start of the legislature.
These words, the presidents of the political groups represented in the Hemicycle hear them regularly.
And they will bring them up this Tuesday, November 29 during a meeting organized by Yaël Braun-Pivet, the President of the National Assembly.
An appointment which will be almost entirely dedicated to discussing avenues for a possible relaxation of the pace of work of deputies.
Because after less than six months in office, in a political situation...
