The French astrologer
Nostradamus
is among the only prophets who allegedly predicted the war in Ukraine this year.
If indeed this was the poet's intention, he already knew 450 years ago that in 2022 war would break out in Europe.
If we continue to read his somewhat poetic predictions, we discover that for Michel de Nostradamus this war was just the beginning of a chain of global disasters - some of which will apparently come true next year, 2023. Since we are already there - then we should prepare.
Michel de Nostradamus published his infamous book Les Prophéties almost 500 years ago and it includes 942 prophecies that purport to predict the future.
In the book you will find terrifying predictions about World War II, Hitler's rise to power and the French Revolution, most of which turned out to be terrifyingly accurate.
It is said that the French astrologer also knew in advance about the assassination of the President of the United States, John F. Kennedy and the terrorist attacks on September 11 at the World Trade Center in New York.
Although his predictions are not entirely clear and do not include specific dates, commentators believe that some of them will come true in the coming year.
If he was able to correctly predict the war in Ukraine - this is probably a good enough reason to take (somewhat) seriously his predictions for the coming year.

world War
One of the first prominent predictions for 2023 is a "big war".
In his book of predictions from 1555, one line stands out in particular: "Seven months of great war. People who died from doing evil. Rowan, Avera will not fall into the hands of the king."
This prediction may be a development of the current conflict between Ukraine and Russia that could escalate into World War III next year.
The seven-month timeline of the ongoing conflict may be a sign that the worst is behind us, but with the terrifying nuclear arsenals of various countries including America and Russia - we might not want to relax just yet.
In the event of a third world war, according to the forecast, the French city of Rouen will remain safe, which suggests that it is precisely Paris that may be in danger.
The prophet probably mentioned the French city because he was from France and this does not mean that it is the only city in the world that will survive the inferno.

Heavenly fire
In another prediction by Nostradamus, the astrologer alludes to "heavenly fire on the royal building".
However, this prediction is much more devastating than a royal house on fire.
Throughout the Bible, the Day of Judgment or the "end of days" always referred to fire as the central factor in the events of the end of the world. Its commentators are sure that a new world order will emerge from the ashes of civilization, which will cause the end of time as we know it.

Colonization of Mars
The mysterious Nostradamus noted in his writings the words "light on Mars falls".
There are two leading interpretations of this.
One holds that the planet is entering retrograde and will appear as if it is moving backwards in the sky.
Others claim that the astrologer was referring to humanity's efforts to colonize the planet.
SpaceX founder and new Twitter owner Elon Musk has long claimed that humans will land on Mars by 2029. The world's richest man also shared that he wants to colonize the Red Planet before the end of the decade.

Economic disaster and civil unrest
Following the Corona epidemic and the current war in Ukraine, there has been a widespread economic crisis in the world.
The French prophet wrote in his book: "Man will eat his neighbor."
This forecast implies that an economic crisis may cause despair and civil war.
The prophet wrote: "Sooner or later you will see great changes made, horrors and terrible revenges."
Commentators believe that a revolt of the poor against the rich is expected while the economy is plummeting with severe acts of violence.
He added: "The trumpet trembles under much discord. A broken agreement. Lifting the face to heaven. The bleeding mouth will swim in blood and the face anointed with milk and honey is laid on the ground."

global warming
Although the topic of global warming is not new to us, Nostradamus predicts a further rise in global temperatures and water levels.
He wrote: "Like the sun, the head will burn the shining sea: the living fish of the Black Sea will almost boil. Rhodes and Genoa will be half-starved."
Commentators believe that global temperatures will continue to climb, sea levels will rise and all of this will lead to complications in the food chain.

Shall we run away?
Some commentators believe that Nostradamus did not foresee the war in Ukraine at all and that we really have no reason to worry about what is to come.
According to them, Nostradamus spoke at all about war in the capital of France, Paris.
In the section referring to this it is written: "Around the great city there will be soldiers stationed in the fields and in the cities."
According to them, this is also why the prophet speaks of the French city of Rouen in connection with the great war that will break out next year - because the conflict that is expected to begin in the region this year will lead to a great war in France, during which the city of Rouen "will not fall into the hands of the king."
In general, history experts claim that the encrypted writings of Nostradamus are too vague to be considered reliable information about the future.
