(Muhammad al-Hariri, a poet and a teacher), the title that focused on the intellectual symposium held at the Arab Cultural Center in Hama, organized by the Directorate of Culture, the University of Hama and the Teachers Syndicate branch in the province.

The President of the Union of Arab Writers in Syria, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, during his lecture on the poet Muhammad Al-Hariri, explained that the latter filled the world and occupied people for decades, as he was a hunter of rhymes and the best of composing poems after his poetic talent appeared at an early age, indicating that Al-Hariri stood with the fighters of the free world and the struggle the National.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Al-Hourani indicated that holding this symposium comes to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Hariri's birth, which is the least that can be presented to the late poet because he was wronged by definition, even though he was a patriotic and nationalist poet par excellence, as he dedicated many of his poems to the nation and unity and had great confidence. And he spoke a lot about the Palestinian cause, considering that our cultural institutions wronged him for not celebrating him, so we are currently trying to shed light on him and offer him even a small part of what he deserves of attention and highlighting his poetic talent.

The researcher and university professor, Dr. Ismail Marwa, pointed out that the talk about the poet Hariri is a talk about a complete journey in the history of Syria, where he was the just witness to it and shortened his poetry on the pulpit to read and hear more than him to read because he was concerned with national issues, as he did not print any collection of poetry in his life Indicating that he was a poet different from his peers, he did not search for fame, glory or money, and his poetry was dominated by a human and national character.

As for the researcher, Dr. Ratib Sukkar, he presented a glimpse of the late’s personal life from his birth until his death, and his influence on his family, which was interested in poetry and culture, and his obtaining a license in the Arabic language, and his work as a teacher in secondary schools in Damascus, then as an editor in the Arab Teacher magazine for several years, touching on the human aspect in his poetry, which was tyrannical. In many of his poems, what gave him the ability to encourage his students to write poetry and other literary arts.
