Opinion Take care of your souls: anarchy takes over, the rule of law disappears Israel today

The murder in Holon was probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

Not that the State of Israel has been free of violence since we returned from the corona, but something in this shocking event united an entire nation around it.

Adi Mizrahi and his ilk are much more dangerous to our society than the Iranian threat.

The real security threat is within Israel's borders, not outside its borders.

The Russian roulette called our life starts from the moment we leave the house.

Electric scooters and bicycles disregard the lives of people on the sidewalks.

From there it continues by car.

Going on the roads of Israel is likened to going into battle.

The question is not if they will fight with you or curse you on your way to your desired district, the question is only when it will happen and where.

And above all, as we have learned in recent days, how you will react.

If you choose to swallow your tongue and your honor - you will most likely get out of it safely.

A word is out of place, and in the evening your relatives will come to identify your body at the pathology institute.

And so it goes on.

Shopping, at the cinema, at the beaches, on the plane.

The number of Tiktok videos documenting the violence in Israel is only increasing every day.

When anarchy takes over

While fear takes over the majority of decent Israeli citizens - those who pay taxes and educate their children to be tolerant and that violence is not their first resort in any argument - for the other side, the opposite process takes place: the fear of law enforcement disappears.

The police amuse them, so much so that even security cameras and dozens of cameras on mobile phones are not scary.

They know that a combination of a weak police and a prosecutor's office in the process of bankruptcy in regards to trust in it, will easily get them out of the most serious crime.

In the absence of authority and law, anarchy takes over every good and bad part of Israeli society.

The point is that there is no solution.

Look at what is happening in Arab society - the brutal violence in which children and women pay a heavy price is the future of Israeli society as a whole.

We were abandoned.

We were abandoned as human beings, as citizens.

We are defenseless in our home.

The honest man in his own eyes will do.

More and more people carry guns and cold weapons with them while traveling in the green line areas and not beyond it.

The feeling is that there is no one to guard, and violence has become the norm.

A word out of place will end in a helmet to the head.

Our expectations of the law and enforcement systems to fulfill their duty towards us, have been disappointed.

If we have property that is dear to us and we live in the north or south of the country, then the only way to keep the property is by paying sponsorship fees.

Our children go to schools where violence is among the highest in Western society.

All that's left to do is to hurry.

Let them cut us off on the road, overtake us in line because that's how they feel like it, lower our heads when they curse us next to our child, and leave with a burning sense of insult.

Because in the end, the next Adi Mizrahi or Aryeh Greenfeld are waiting for you today on the roads of Israel.

After all, all we want is to return home safely.
