Putin warns soldiers' mothers about 'fake news'

The human rights organization Soldiers' Mothers, which is part of the Russian opposition, did not attend the meeting.

In March, the organization asked Putin for a ceasefire to exchange the bodies of the dead with the Ukrainian side.

Putin also spoke to the women about false reports circulating on the internet.

“There is a lot of fake news, fraud and lies.

There are many information attacks.

This has always been the case, but with the advent of modern technologies, it has become particularly relevant and effective,” Putin said.

Although he probably meant Western media, he describes Russian propaganda quite accurately.
