Reichersbeuern

– There was almost a train accident on Friday afternoon.

According to the police, a farmer (60) from Reichersbeuern drove around 4:30 p.m. with his team consisting of a tractor with a fully loaded liquid manure trailer near the railway line in the Reichersbeuern municipality.

He came too close to the track bed.

Due to the heavy weight of the trailer, it began to slip onto the track area.

The engine driver of the approaching train from Bad Tölz was just able to avoid a collision with the slurry tanker by braking hard.

The train came to a standstill just a few meters before the obstacle and made no contact.

The liquid manure tank was first emptied by pumping and then recovered by a recovery crane.

Fortunately, there was no property damage.

The driver of the tractor must expect to be charged with dangerous interference with rail traffic.

The train had to return to the Bad Tölz train station, while the train route was closed during the salvage.
