Homs-Sana
As part of the celebration of the Syrian Culture Days, the Directorate of Theaters and Music and the National Theater in Homs today presented the theatrical show “Roman Bath” on the stage of the Palace of Culture in Homs.
The play was written by the Bulgarian writer Stanislav Stratiev, and prepared and directed by Fahd Al-Rahmoun. Its events revolve around the young Ivan, who decided to restore and maintain his house, to show him during the excavation process an ancient Roman bath, and here he is bombarded with offers from various sides, and the purpose of them is to acquire this archaeological place and what It contains treasures, to finally be forced to leave the house.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the director of the work stated that the play is a kind of satirical and critical comedy, indicating that theater is an indispensable intellectual and cultural need despite all circumstances.
Actor Samer Salloum, who is participating for the first time in a theatrical work, indicated that the work was fun, and added a lot to his experience, while actor Thaer Muhammad pointed out that the show deals with opportunistic people who are waiting for any opportunity to benefit, without caring about anyone or privacy.
