Likud aims to have all the parties sign agreements within the next day, but Netanyahu does not plan to inform President Yitzhak Herzog yet that he has managed to form a government.

This is due to the demands of his partners for legislation that would precede the swearing in of the government, primarily the demand of Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, the designated Minister of the Interior and Health, to enact a law that would allow him to be appointed as a minister, despite being convicted of tax offenses last year.

In order to advance the law that will allow Deri to be appointed as a minister even before the inauguration, the future coalition should first replace the Knesset Speaker, Miki Levy, with a person on its behalf, so that there are no delays in legislation in the Knesset.

Last night, an agreement was signed between the Noam faction and the Likud, in which it was decided to The establishment of a national-Jewish identity authority - it will be headed by the head of the Noam party, Avi Maoz, who will also serve as deputy minister in the prime minister's office. Maoz will also be responsible for the organization "Nativ" and other units.

Maoz's appointment as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office is intended to allow the coalition to have a "quiet head" regarding private legislation that will be promoted in the Knesset.

Likud feared that MK Maoz, who takes a harsh line against the gay community and represents an extreme position on religion and state issues, would challenge the coalition with bills and preferred to appoint him as a deputy minister. Thus, he would not be able to promote bills in committees or in the plenary.
