Interview with Bernhard Winter, the initiator of the Sunday meetings in Markt Schwaben.

On November 6th you celebrated "30 years of Sunday encounters" with prominent guests.
Who was there then?
We were around 150 invited guests, including many who have accompanied and supported the Sunday encounters for decades.
A few "celebrities" such as the former national soccer player Thomas Hitzlsperger, the best-selling psycho author Bärbel Wardetzki or our former family minister Christa Stewens were there.
Federal Minister of Agriculture Cem Özdemir and the Bavarian Minister of Education Michael Piazolo were represented with a video message.
In your opinion, the best birthday greeting came from who?
Cem Özdemir remembered his dialogue with the children's book author Paul Maar (Das Sams) with kind words and at the same time announced that he might come back with Campino from Toten Hosen one day.
Alois Glück, ex-Landtgs President and Martin Neumeyer - CEO of the Bavarian State Forests exchanged views on the topic "Climate, Nature and Peace". The topic of wind turbines in the Ebersberg forest was definitely also discussed here. What attitudes did the two take on this, and what was the response from the audience?
Everyone agreed that our forests and especially the Ebersberg Forest are extremely valuable for nature and climate protection and are not there to iron out the short-sightedness of the past in terms of energy policy.
Rather, we must make them strong and sustainable through intelligent and long-term conversion to healthy mixed forests.
When will the next event take place and what will the topic be?
January 15, 2023 is about equality between men and women, with Family Minister Ulrike Scharf and her predecessor Christa Stewens.
In June, the robot Sunday meeting “Who is a human and who is a machine?” will follow in Bielefeld.

It was a birthday cake for the eyes, nose and palate, made by master baker Martin Rieger from Anzing.
Featuring a white icing peace dove, stately chocolate trees, green marzipan foliage... and an edible "30 Years" inscription.
