Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Vanguard of Baath Organization signed today a memorandum of understanding to implement WAN projects

Today, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Vanguards of the Baath Organization signed a memorandum of understanding to implement various projects and activities, with the aim of empowering children between the ages of 6 and 12, providing them with psychological and material support, working on building their capacities, enhancing their talents, and unleashing and nurturing aspects of creativity, in the Ministry's building in Damascus.

The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Saif al-Din, and the head of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization, Dr. Izzat Arabi Katbi.

The memorandum includes participation in related cooperation programs between non-governmental organizations and international organizations.

To support joint activities and contribute to confronting forms of child labor, providing psychosocial support to them, and supporting the rehabilitation of young juveniles and their integration into society.

In a statement to reporters, Minister Seif El-Din indicated the importance of the memorandum as it focuses on taking care of juvenile children and integrating them into society, which is what the ministry focuses on through its work on several aspects, including caring for persons with disabilities, caring for delinquent juveniles, and combating child labor at an early age. After the terrorist war that Syria was subjected to, it is necessary to focus on the aspects of childhood and take care of it to contribute to rebuilding a new generation that contributes to reconstruction.

In turn, the head of the organization, Dr. Izzat Arabi Katbi, explained that a range of services will be provided under the memorandum, including psychological support, recreational means, self-development, instilling national, educational and social values ​​and concepts, and erasing some negative ideas, especially in areas that have been subjected to terrorism, pointing out that a number of camps will be held. Open activities and activities, including the Al-Talee’ magazine and the electronic platform, discovering talents, putting them in the right direction, and creating the field for competition among children.
