Accident with several serious injuries in Gröbenzell

Gröbenzell – Four people were injured in a traffic accident on Olchingerstraße on November 27th. 

Around 6 p.m., a 75-year-old woman from Munich drove her car on Olchinger Straße in the direction of Olching.

Her 75-year-old husband was in the passenger seat.

After the junction with Breslauer Strasse, she used the left turn signal because she wanted to turn left to a restaurant.

A 71-year-old car driver from Gröbenzell who followed her noticed this and reduced his speed.

At the same time, a 27-year-old Gröbenzeller drove his car on Olchinger Straße, also in the direction of Olching.

According to a witness, he was driving at a significantly excessive speed.

At the junction with Breslauer Straße, he illegally drove past a central island on the left lane, turned right again and drove into the 71-year-old's car.

This was pushed onto the turning vehicle,

whereupon this in turn was thrown against two vehicles parked on the right-hand side of the road.

The person who caused the accident drove over a traffic sign and then also crashed into the two parked vehicles, damaging another one.

The mobile home parked on the side of the road had to be lifted.

The 75-year-old (turning woman) and her husband were slightly injured in the accident.

The passenger of the Mercedes A-Class could only be rescued from her vehicle after firefighters lifted a camper van parked on the side of the road to reverse the A-Class.

Then the passenger door opened.

The person who caused the accident and the 71-year-old Gröbenzeller driving ahead were seriously injured.

The road was closed for the accident investigation and rescue work until after midnight.

There was property damage of around 52,000 euros.

Unknown driver had to dodge beforehand

After consultation with the public prosecutor's office, an accident analysis report was commissioned, the three vehicles involved were seized and the driver's license of the person who caused the accident was confiscated.

A blood draw was also performed.

Driving past the central island on the left, which was illegal, almost resulted in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle.

A previously unknown driver had to brake and swerve to avoid an accident.
