Eight were injured in a road accident on Route 5 near the Shumron border crossing as a result of a collision between a bus and a truck.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated the injured to the hospital, including the truck driver, a 47-year-old man in serious condition with multiple systemic injuries.

MDA emergency medic riding on an MDA motorcycle David Amichai said: "During the treatment of a minor traffic accident, citizens called us to continue down the road for another accident that occurred, the ambulance team remained at the minor accident and I, together with an intensive care ambulance, continued to the other accident, we saw a truck with injuries in the front part and a bus with injuries in the back. The truck driver was trapped while the fire fighters were rescuing him, which lasted several minutes, we gave him medical treatment that included dressings and medication and evacuated him in an intensive care vehicle to the hospital when he was in serious condition.
We performed tests on the bus passengers and 7 of them needed medical treatment and were taken to the hospital in a minor condition."
Police forces are directing the traffic and investigators have started investigating the circumstances of the accident.
