With the participation of a number of women and girls, the Jasmine House project implemented an event affiliated with the Marasia Al-Hakim Center in Al-Hasakah Governorate, entitled (Hand in Hand.. Say and Do), on the occasion of the 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence, with the support of the United Nations Population Fund.

The event, which was held in the Al-Balabel Hall in the center of Al-Hasakah, included theatrical performances and a presentation of photo slides that talked about the seven trends of violence.

The Director of the Jasmine House Project, Mireille Safar, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that today's event comes within the framework of a series being implemented by the Jasmine House Project, and focuses on a set of messages to be delivered to women and girls to raise their awareness so that they are able to confront violence in all its directions.

Safar explained that the event also includes a group of dialogue sessions for the participating women and girls to listen to their views on violence and its forms.

For her part, the psychological counselor in the Jasmine House project, Dr. Ibtisam Mousli, stated that the purpose of the activities and events held in this campaign is to provide services to women and girls, and to train and qualify them to be able to face everything they encounter in society, especially with regard to the issue of violence.

Mosly indicated that during the sessions, focus was placed on a set of axes that emphasize the rejection of violence, and providing participants with information on ways that enable them to confront everything they encounter in society.

The two participants, Mona Al-Hamoud and Heba Al-Khalif, pointed out the importance of the event and the need to repeat it permanently, as it contributes to raising the state of awareness, and comes within an integrated framework with family work, noting the need to focus on establishing the family, whether for the girl or the young man, especially before marriage, attention and follow-up so that the girl or the young man can From building and rehabilitating a healthy family.
