Today, a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was killed in an armed attack in the city of Isfahan, in the center of the country.
The Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted the deputy governor, Mohammad Reza Jan Nathari, as saying: “The officer was shot several times, and was immediately taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery, but died of his wounds,” noting that an investigation is underway to determine the perpetrators of the attack.
On the other hand, the Public Relations of the Revolutionary Guards announced the arrest of the leader of the main cell of the (Iran International) terrorist channel in Khoy, West Azerbaijan Province.
Public relations said in a statement today: “Following the riots that occurred in areas of the city of Khoy, the main leader of the channel was arrested, who issued many invitations on communication sites and incited acts that destabilize security and stability in the city.”
