Every morning for sixteen years, the mayor of Janvry (Essonne) had a ritual.
Christian Schoettl (SE) reached the hostel in this village of 630 inhabitants at 8:30 am.
He came across Jérôme Blanc, one of his most invested municipal employees, with whom he shared a coffee.
Now, when the chosen one pushes the door, the inn is empty.
"An unacceptable void", for those who "lose someone precious, the man of all times, all the hard knocks, all the helping hands", writes Christian Schoettl on his blog, while the 25th market of Noël de Janvry opened on Friday 25 November.
