First bill of Ben Gabir and his party: 3 years in prison for those who interfere with soldiers Israel today

Otzma Yehudit members today (Monday) introduce their first bill in the Israeli Knesset, which seeks to sentence up to three years in prison to anyone who interferes with a soldier while performing his duty.

The bill is signed by party members Almog Cohen, Itamar Ben Gvir and Limor Son Har Melech, and in it they seek to amend the Penal Code and add a soldier to the section that talks about interfering with a police officer in the performance of his duties.

According to the original penal law, obstructing or obstructing a police officer and now a soldier as well, was sentenced to up to three years in prison.

MK Almog Cohen says that "following the many cases in which anarchists are funded and instructed who harm the activities of our dear soldiers - I submitted to the Knesset table a proposal to amend the Penal Code together with MK Itamar Ben Gabir and Limor Son Har Melech "Attack of Israel Defense Forces soldiers".

"The purpose of the bill is to eradicate the despicable phenomenon of anarchist violence against Israel Defense Forces soldiers, to deter lawbreakers and create backup and protection for our soldiers who guard us with their souls, protection that will allow our soldiers to serve our country without fear and professionally."
