Whether you noticed it or not, Israel is at the center of a major revolution.
In everything related to the automotive industry of course.
The relatively new automobile giant, China, is emerging, and under the auspices of the electric revolution, seeks to invade the West.
Hundreds of brands, some of them impressive and of high quality, have their eyes on the old markets and the way there, some of them start right here.
For them, Israel is an excellent place to base themselves in preparation for that invasion.
It's a relatively small country, so range issues are relatively minor.
It's a nation that's all about hi-tech and customers who are happy to be early adopters of technology.
The invasion of the local market is fast, producing market stars in an instant and by the middle of 2023 there are already more than 20 active Chinese brands here.

But something in all this wealth, somewhat misses the real Israeli customer.
Because while most Chinese manufacturers strive to show their ability and run far and fast, the price of these vehicles also shows the same pace and direction.
And it's not just the fault of the Chinese or electricity.
If a decade ago you could find a variety of small, simple and cheap cars here, now it is very difficult to find such a car at a price that includes five figures.
And now, here comes Lipomotor.
And that changes the story a bit.
Like many other advanced Chinese manufacturers, Lipomotor is also a fairly young company, driven by huge budgets, independent developments and advanced factories.
It also produces different cars with hundreds of hp, hundreds of kilometers of range and fantastic acceleration figures.
The T03 does not own all of these.
It is a relatively simple car, small and above all cheap.
An excess of NIS 100,000 makes it the cheapest tram in Israel today.
She still landed, and a crown was already tied to her head.
What we really liked about the Lipomotor is the fact that even though it's a cheap little car, it's not some conversion of an old model or some electrical improvisation.
It sits on a dedicated electric platform, which means it has been designed as a modern, electric off-the-shelf urban vehicle.
The dimensions are similar to what this category has to offer in small Hyundai and Kia, while in some dimensions the Lipomotor registers an advantage.
The overall appearance is cohesive with a smiling and cute front, while the high roofline creates a slightly gaunt appearance from the side.
The passenger compartment looks very clean, free of clutter.
The materials are simple, the installation is good and the main interface between man and machine includes a projected dashboard and a large multimedia screen in the center of the console.
It might be time to point out that the T03 comes here in one version that includes everything (almost, more on that later).
The roof window with the electric curtain, the rims, mirroring smart phones on the screen, the option of two body colors, remote activation of the air conditioner before entering the car and more.
All kinds of smart or beautiful solutions that usually involve an additional payment or are not possible in any other case, are included here as standard.
The electric motor is located at the front of the vehicle and drives the front wheels.
It produces 108 hp and the performance is immediate and agile, especially in the sport mode among the driving modes offered.
Acceleration up to about 60 km/h feels very fast, beyond that the power increases about eight times and towards the maximum speed, decreases a little more.
Overall, it feels very efficient and agile with a realistic range in the test of about 240 km (compared to the declared 280 km).
The Lipomotor is also surprising with a fairly mature calibration, they must have passed such a small vehicle.
On combined bumps in the city it absorbs even if it doesn't go over and outside it maintains restraint under a reasonable load.
These together with a surprisingly spacious cabin make for a very efficient and very impressive package considering the price.
At the moment of modern feeling and up-to-date ability, one drawback stands out.
Although Lipomotor is capable of many advanced safety systems, the local standard version does not include these.
You can see the location of the missing buttons in the cell, and against the background of the general execution, it feels like a lack of functionality.
Towards the middle of next year, additional Lipomotor models will arrive here alongside the T03 with the missing safety accessories.
With these, the Lipomotor will turn from a car that is a surprising and cheap urban electric car, into a small and complete electric car.
