Health is “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.

Health and its definition, according to the WHO, are ideological and, furthermore, are part of those values ​​so widely assumed by our culture, which are no longer understood as ideology, but as common sense.

At other times, common-sense social and political aspirations were not focused on health —or were based on another concept of health— and resulted in mystical efforts, aestheticisms of illness or exaltations of pleasure: mortification of the flesh;

romantic vinegar binges;

live fast, die young and have a nice body;

And because what we call common sense always implies an ideological position in the face of reality.
