Progress in the talks between Netanyahu and Smotrich, but the Shas claim that there is a crisis in the talks - voila! News

Smotrich met with Netanyahu this evening and expressed optimism about the progress of the coalition negotiations. Earlier today, Deri met with Netanyahu and expressed his anger at the conduct of the talks. His associates claim that Likud went back on earlier agreements and say: "If this continues, Shas has no problem supporting in the government from outside"

Shas chairman Aryeh Deri today (Monday) expressed great anger at Prime Minister-designate Likud chairman Benjamin Netanyahu, and sharply criticized the conduct of the coalition negotiations. At the same time, religious Zionist chairman Bezalel Smotrich met today with Netanyahu.

At the end of the meeting, Smotrich announced that "there is progress. We are much more optimistic."

According to Shas sources, Deri met with Netanyahu this afternoon and shouted at him "It is impossible to negotiate with you, it is not serious, it is behavior that I cannot understand".

Shas claims that they made major concessions during the talks. Deri first demanded to be appointed Minister of Finance, gave up half the term and agreed to share the position with the chairman of religious Zionism, Bezalel Smutritz.

Also, Deri waived the demand to receive the ministry of the Negev and the Galilee in favor of Otzma Yehudit.

According to party officials, today the head of the Shas negotiation team, Ariel Atias, arrived for a meeting with attorney Michael Ravillo representing the Likud.

During the meeting, it was revealed to the party that despite the concessions, Likud withdrew from other conclusions in the negotiations.

In addition, Shas are angry about the delay in replacing the speaker of the Knesset, which was designed to allow the enactment of the law that would allow Derai to serve as minister despite being convicted of crimes.

Earlier today, Deri criticized Smotrich.

"I don't understand until this moment how we have 64 mandates and we haven't changed the Knesset speaker," Deri told members of the Shas faction at the weekly meeting in the Knesset. R. Knesset.

I'm too young to understand it."

A real crisis, or manipulation of religious Zionism?

Those close to Derai said that this is a real crisis and that "Derai and Shas promised throughout the election that a right-wing government led by Netanyahu would be established, but if this behavior continues, Shas has no problem giving up all positions and supporting the government from the Knesset - from the outside."

However, in light of the fact that Deri and Netanyahu were closely coordinated in the negotiations and that Shas even received first priority in the selection of the cases, it is not impossible that the media crisis is initiated and coordinated, and is intended to put pressure on religious Zionism and Torah Judaism to move forward in the talks and allow the replacement of the Knesset Speaker.
