Schäftlarn – How is the community of Schäftlarn doing?
What has happened in the community in the past year?
In the recent citizens' meeting, Mayor Christian Fürst (CSU) gave an overview.
We present the most important changes.

Currently 6055 people live in Schäftlarn.
In 2022 there were 567 arrivals and 440 departures, 41 children were born and 71 deaths were mourned.
"This high number is also related to the nursing home in Zell," said Mayor Fürst.

More citizens usually means more children.
In the early summer, a room was handed over to the school lunchtime care, which can be separated from the rest of the primary school auditorium by a mobile partition.
223 children are currently attending primary school.
"That's eleven children fewer than last year," said Fürst.
The after-school care center is occupied by 58 children and the lunchtime care by 91 children.
The excavators will soon roll up at the school itself: a new gymnasium is to be built and the teaching facility expanded.
The office "PECK.DAAM Architects" presented several variants in a feasibility study;
Draft number 6 now serves as a further planning basis after optimization.
housing offer
Schäftlarn has grown by 19 apartments in ten buildings.
"Construction activity is at a moderate level," says Fürst.
"Nevertheless, the immigration pressure is enormous." And: The municipal waiting lists for affordable housing have become noticeably longer.
A point to which the community has responded: "In the next few months, the construction of a new, barrier-free residential building on Auenstrasse will start." The cost is 2.9 million euros, said the head of the town hall.
For the project, the community receives a 30 percent subsidy from the Free State as part of the Bavarian housing subsidy program.
There is also a low-interest loan of 60 percent.

Here, Fürst could only report a standstill.
In order to make progress, a species protection investigation along the course of the route would be necessary for the preferred route B (north of Hohenschäftlarn).
“For six months, a safety fence was used to examine how the amphibians move in order to take protective measures.
We just need the consent of the owners for this," says Fürst.
Five would have given the community approval, ten owners not.
In addition, the Greens had declared that they would no longer support a circumvention “no matter where”.
They would hope for a relief from the traffic turnaround.
During a closed meeting, other municipal councils from other groups also spoke out against the bypass.

Barrier-free expansion of Ebenhausen station
The stop was included in a federal funding program in 2020.
"According to DB Station and Service, it should now be barrier-free by the end of 2026," reported Fürst.
The plans for this have been completed and presented to the municipal council.

The Hohenschäftlarn fire brigade can look forward to a new fire station on Drotwiesenweg (cost: 3.8 million euros).
"Like the adjacent new building yard, it is a milestone in the history of the community," said Fürst, visibly proud.
Due to the constantly increasing requirements and legal requirements for the three district fire brigades, however, replacement purchases and new equipment are necessary.
A fire engine from the Neufahrn fire brigade from 1995 is being replaced by an emergency fire engine 20 (HLF).
"The total costs amount to 639,000 euros, a government subsidy of 119,000 euros has been approved." Fürst hopes that delivery can take place at the beginning of 2023.

Mayor Fürst sees the "Community Day" in July 2020 with the inauguration of the fire station and various information stands as a great success.
There should also be the opportunity to visit various facilities, such as the sewage treatment plant.
The “Ramadama” and the tree plantings that have already taken place were also very popular.
"Not to forget the centenary of the Almrösl Hohenschäftlarn traditional costume association, which was celebrated with a huge amount of voluntary work and organizational effort." Fürst himself is already looking forward to the Loisachgau Festival of the Loisach Valley District Association in 2023, which is also organized by the association.
