The dark season is burglary time.

Once again, the Dachau police reported several break-ins in Dachau and Karlsfeld.

In one case, the police followed the trail of the perpetrator with a service dog.

Karlsfeld/Dachau - On Sunday, around 7.30 p.m., cleaning staff disturbed a burglar in the Sonneninsel kindergarten on Allacher Straße in Karlsfeld while doing his criminal work.

The previously unknown perpetrator had pried open a window and got into the building.

When the stranger noticed the cleaning staff, he fled and left his loot behind.

According to the police, he caused property damage of around 1,500 euros.

A service dog used to search for the burglar sniffed out various items of clothing the perpetrator had thrown away.

These could be helpful in further investigations.

A total of four burglaries were reported to the police in Dachau last weekend.

At around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, a previously unknown person tried to break into the restaurant at the Dachau Golf Club on the raft landing.

He was disturbed by the owner and took flight without prey.

There was property damage of around 500 euros.

Also on Sunday, a burglar smashed a window in a family home on Weblinger Weg.

It was around 7 a.m. when the resident was awakened by the noise made by the unknown perpetrator.

The burglar noticed the homeowner and fled without taking any booty, but caused damage of 1,500 euros.

An immediately initiated search was unsuccessful.

Last Saturday between 5:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., an unknown person pried open a patio door of an apartment building on Meraner Strasse.

The burglar ransacked the apartment and stole jewelry in the low five-digit euro range.

There was property damage of around 3000 euros.

Another burglary occurred between Thursday and Saturday.

Here, a previously unknown perpetrator stole jewelry from the apartment in an apartment building on Gröbenrieder Strasse.

The prey damage here is around 20,000 euros.

How the burglar gained access to the home is yet to be determined.

In all cases, the Dachau police ask for relevant information by calling 0 81 31/56 10.
