The Vocational Training Council (VTC) held the "New Generation New Skills" Expo from December 9th to 11th. The "Event Square" has a number of lectures and seminars, where industry leaders and education experts share industry trends and career Professional education development.
The exciting activities also included a fashion show and sharing by VTC alumni, allowing the public to understand the value of vocational education from multiple perspectives and assisting young people in their career planning.
Many star guests will be invited to attend. Professional seminar explores the value of vocational education
VTC has been actively promoting vocational education and promoting the development of skills in various industries.

Exploring Design Influence to Drive Digital Transformation
On the first day of the Expo (December 9), a seminar themed "The Influence of Design: Modern Future" was held in the morning, which covered a variety of topics, including using design thinking to promote digital transformation, business opportunities in the Greater Bay Area and upgrading Digital skills, etc., and Yang Runxiong, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was invited to share.

Fashion show showcases innovative designs
There will be 2 fashion shows at the fair, showcasing the creative works of students and graduates of HKDI and THEi respectively.

VTC has been devoting itself to training design talents for Hong Kong. Two fashion shows will be held at the expo, allowing students and graduates to showcase innovative designs and exquisite craftsmanship to the society.
The "Dream of Fashion" fashion show will showcase the design talents of HKDI alumni in different fields, including creative works such as fashion, image and stage costumes. Dance and music elements will be added to the show to enrich the visitor experience.
Another fashion show, "The Review and Prospect of Fashion Design of Hong Kong Academy of Higher Education: The New Power of Green Fashion", will showcase 30 unique garments inspired by students and graduates from everyday life , the themes of the works include: sustainable development, graduation fashion show, service project and celebrity stylist's choice.
Sharing of skills contestants and award ceremony
The Hong Kong Youth Skills Competition has been successfully held in May and June 2022, and an award ceremony will be held during the expo to award the winners of each competition.

The WorldSkills Competition is the largest skills competition in the world.
