Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reaffirmed his country's steadfast and supportive position on the Palestinian people's struggle to restore their usurped rights guaranteed by international legitimacy.
The APS quoted Tebboune as saying in a message on the eve of the celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People: The commemoration of this day is an explicit affirmation of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and an opportunity to remind the international community of its historical, political, legal, moral and human responsibilities towards it.
He explained that what the Palestinian people need is for international solidarity to be translated into practical steps and executive measures, which calls for a serious and firm stance from the international community, especially from the Security Council and the General Assembly, not only to put an end to the intransigence of the occupation and its refusal to abide by international legitimacy and resolutions, but also an effective and strong opposition to the system The settlements, through which the occupation undermines all opportunities to achieve the two-state solution, and by adopting it, produce a bitter reality of discrimination and double standards.
