Facts are indisputable - and one of those facts that cannot be argued with is that hotels in Israel are expensive.
However, there are quite a few global trends, some of which already exist in Israel, that can lower accommodation costs for tourists.
One of those trends is the capsule hotels, which came from Japan and which allow accommodation at very low prices, but the service is also basic and intended for those who are mainly looking for a comfortable and clean place to sleep, and to spend the rest of the day sightseeing.
Soon 20 capsule hotels will be established in Israel with a total investment of about NIS 30 million by the Indig family, and this one will be called CapsuleInn.
The first capsule hotel was established on Yakom Street in Jerusalem, and it includes a complex of 26 accommodation capsules, some for a single person and some for couples.
The capsules for one person are 2.2 meters long, 1.2 meters wide and one meter high.
Each capsule includes a bed, air conditioner, multi-channel TV, adjustable lighting, wireless internet, phone charging connection and more.

In the general area of the capsule hotel there is a guest room for the service of all guests, a shower area, a bathroom area and a personal locker room for storing backpacks, luggage and more.
The price per day for accommodation at the capsule hotel in Jerusalem is NIS 99 for a single person and NIS 199 (before VAT) for a capsule intended for a couple.
Dvir Indig noted: "In recent months, the capsule hotel in Jerusalem has become a hit among young people, Israelis and tourists, and operates at an occupancy rate of more than 90%, so we decided to expand the activity and establish a nationwide network of capsule hotels."
