Weilheim

- During the dark season, the risk of accidents is significantly higher for all road users due to the limited visibility.

The Weilheim police will therefore carry out checks with a focus on "vehicle lighting" on Thursday, December 1st, from the late afternoon, as announced in a press release.

The controls take place, among other things, in the Weilheim inner-city area.

The Weilheim police are actively supported by volunteers from the Weilheim security guard.

(By the way: All police reports from the Weilheim-Schongau region are available in our blue light ticker.)

The aim of the campaign is to sensitize road users to the dangers of road traffic during the dark months of the year, according to the press release.

If necessary, people are informed of existing defects in the lighting equipment of their vehicles in order to avoid possible moments of danger or traffic accidents.

According to the police, the safety of road users is the priority, strictly according to the motto "See and be seen!".
