Today (30th) at around 4:00 am, a tourist bus responsible for transporting employees of the cargo terminal crashed on Lin Cheung Road in Cheung Sha Wan. A total of 10 people were injured, including the driver who was once trapped.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident, and it is not ruled out that it was caused by someone walking at the wrong intersection.

At the time of the incident, the tourist bus was traveling along Lin Cheung Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When approaching the roundabout of Mei Tsing Road, it suddenly lost control and crashed.

Many people were injured at the scene, including the driver who was trapped.

After receiving the report, the fire department dispatched multiple ambulances, fire trucks and mobile medical vehicles to the scene to deal with it.

The police cordoned off the scene for rescue.

It is understood that after the driver was rescued, his head was bleeding, and the other passengers were slightly injured and were sitting on a rock in the middle of the road to be rescued.

Firefighters opened their throats for suspected oil spills from the tourist bus.

The driver was treated by paramedics at the scene.

It is understood that there were 12 male passengers in the car, who were employees of a cargo terminal at the airport.

The tourist bus involved was picking up employees from the airport to leave Kowloon. During the period, it was heading towards Kowloon along Route 3. When it arrived at the roundabout on Mei Tsing Road, it suspected that it did not make a turn according to the roundabout, but crashed straight into the stone wall in the middle of the roundabout.

The 43-year-old driver surnamed Jiang and 10 of his passengers (aged 35-58) were injured and sent to Yan Chai Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital respectively.

The other two uninjured male passengers left by themselves in a taxi.

There are 3 drop-off locations for the tourist bus involved, which are Mei Foo, Mong Kok and Kwun Tong in order. It is initially not ruled out that it made a wrong intersection. It should have left Route 3 at the "Lai Chi Kok" exit for Mei Foo, but it was mistakenly earlier than one. intersection, leave at "Container Terminal".

Since the branch road at Lai Chi Kok exit is a straight road, and there is a roundabout at the branch road leading to the container terminal exit, it is not ruled out that some people misremembered it as a "straight road", so the accident was caused by the delay of closing the switch. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
