A 30-year-old man was seriously injured this evening (Tuesday) by a shooting on Ben Gurion Street in Herzliya.
MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated the injured to Meir Hospital.
The background to a criminal incident.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
The medics from the MDA's motorcycle unit, Maor Baruch and Viniv Raphael, said: "The wounded man was lying behind a building while unconscious and suffering from a penetrating injury to his body.
We gave him life-saving initial medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding and dressings and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital when his condition was serious and unstable."
