Following Walla's appeal, the police will continue the investigation of the case, which has already been closed due to "lack of evidence". "We will investigate the case thoroughly in order to reach the truth and bring the suspect to justice"

Following Walla's request, the police reopened the case against the owner of the business in Kiryat Motzkin who allegedly assaulted a municipal inspector about two weeks ago.

The attack began after the inspector arrived at the business, a pizzeria, on the background of selling vegetables on the road on behalf of the business.

The case was closed due to "lack of evidence" in the decision of the Zebulon station of the Israel Police.

This, despite the fact that police officers were called to the business and despite the fact that in the chaos that developed there, the young man's father allegedly insulted the inspectors, the policemen and the mayor.

The inspector who felt bad was transferred to the Rambam Hospital in Haifa for tests, while the police handcuffed and arrested the business manager, transferred him to the Zebulon station for questioning and even brought him to court the next day with a request to extend his detention. The judge who released him determined that there was a reasonable suspicion that he had committed the offense.

In a similar incident A week earlier, an inspector of the Zichron Ya'akov local council was attacked in his office by the son of the business owner. He was arrested by Zichron Ya'akov policemen, interrogated and released under conditions at the station, without being brought to court.

Mayor Kiryat Motzkin, who following the incident held a demonstration in front of his house, and promised that he "will not give in to threats", chose not to comment on the closure of the case.

The attacked inspector Asaf Davidovitz told Walla in response, "It is a shame that the Israel Police once again chooses to ignore cases of violence against public servants. The level of punishment and deterrence must change in view of the cases of violence on the roads and streets in recent weeks."
