The Bermaya Band for Syriac Culture and Arts performed this evening an artistic dance party in Qamishli Cultural Center, as part of the cultural activities offered by the center.
The head of the Arab Cultural Center in Qamishli, Faiza al-Qadri, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that, as part of the interest in the tangible and intangible heritage of the Directorate of Culture in al-Hasakah, a dance performance was held today by the Burmaya Folklore Troupe, through which it reflected the island heritage that reflects the civilization and culture of the region.
In turn, the trainer of the Barmaya band, Ramtha Shimon, indicated that the band presented a set of artistic performances that carry a heritage and a civilizational message that is more than five thousand years old of art, heritage and beauty, pointing out that what distinguishes the celebration is the participation of children from the band members who are considered the most important age group and they are the ones who will convey A cultural and social message and they carry the heritage of the region into the future.
Shamoun indicated that the paintings presented embodied the goddess of earth and rain, Ornina, noting that the Barmaya Troupe, since its founding thirty years ago, has been keen to present everything related to the heritage of the region.
