Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai spoke today (Tuesday) with Maj. Gen. David Yoel and Maj. Gen. Menashe Naftali, the two police officers who killed the terrorist who carried out the stampede attack at the Kochav Ya'akov intersection in Binyamin, in which an IDF female soldier was injured.
The commissioner praised the activity of the two policemen and said "a terrorist killed - that's what I want to see".
"You did an excellent job, your initial identification of a suspicious vehicle even before you knew about the incident and then the link to the incident itself and in the test the result of a dead terrorist is what I want to see," said the commissioner to the two police officers.

The commissioner said following the police's activity at the scene: "I want to express my appreciation to the police for striving for contact, for sticking to the task and for their professionalism, which in the end eliminated the terrorist who carried out the attack, this is what we expect from our police.

We will continue to carry out activity all over the country, offensive activity for prevention and countermeasures as much as is required and as much as possible.
