The current number of corona cases is increasing.
The RKI reports an incidence of 190.6.
The viral load in wastewater is slowly but steadily increasing.
Berlin – Does Corona really spoil Christmas for us?
After more than two years of Corona, many can no longer hear the word Corona.
But experts have been warning of a corona winter wave for weeks.
New omicron sublines such as BQ.1.1 are already driving the infection process in other countries.
The situation in Germany has been relatively relaxed so far.
Is there a trend reversal now?

The nationwide 7-day incidence is 190.6 as of Tuesday morning.
This emerges from the data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).
For comparison: in the previous week the value was 183.2, in the previous month it was 436.4.
In the federal states, the incidence is between 337.7 in Lower Saxony and 105.7 in Bavaria.
46,552 new corona infections have been reported in the past 24 hours.
In the previous week there were 41,676 corona cases.
In addition, 162 people died in connection with a Sars-CoV-2 infection (previous week: 199).
Experts assume that the number of unreported cases of corona infections is high.
Not every infected person has a PCR test done, but only these are included in the statistics.
Late registrations and transmission problems can lead to distortions in the daily values.
That is now known.
Corona situation in Germany: is a new wave building up?
It is not yet possible to conclude from the values whether a wave of infections is currently building up in Germany.
The viral load in wastewater has been gradually increasing since the beginning of November.
In the so-called wastewater surveillance of the RKI, the Sars-CoV-2 viral load is checked at different locations in different federal states.
There are still no signs of a "hidden" corona wave.
905 corona patients currently have to be treated in the intensive care units in Germany.
Of these, 324 are artificially ventilated.
This emerges from the data of the DIVI register (as of November 29, 2022).
According to DIVI, there were still over 1,500 patients at the end of October.
