A 30-year-old man was killed today (Tuesday) in a car accident between two vehicles on Highway 80 in the Negev, between Kasifa and Ar'er.
In the accident, a man was seriously injured and two others were moderately injured.
The police opened an investigation to examine the circumstances of the accident.
The man who was killed was taken to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva in critical condition, and upon his arrival the doctors had to pronounce him dead.
The seriously injured, 27 years old, was evacuated with bruises on his limbs and head.
The two who were moderately injured, aged 28 and 20, were evacuated with head injuries.
An emergency medic at the MDA, Omri Abu Jama, said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw two vehicles crushed in the middle of the road.
Two of the injured were trapped inside the vehicle with one of them unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing and two others were walking around the place.
With the help of the MDA firefighters and medics, we rescued them while providing medical treatment and CPR for the unconscious wounded.
"After the rescue, we transferred the two injured people who were critically and severely injured to MDA intensive care vehicles and evacuated them to the hospital while continuing medical treatment.
The other two injured people walked around the scene and after initial treatment were evacuated by MDA ambulances to the hospital in moderate to light condition," said an MDA medic.
