Summary.
On October 20, a judicial investigation was opened by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF) on suspicion of illegal financing of Emmanuel Macron's electoral campaigns in 2017 and 2022. The links between the Head of State and the cabinet of McKinsey counsel are at the heart of the investigation by three investigating judges.
In April 2022, a first controversy erupted after the publication of a senatorial report.
He denounced the massive use of private consulting structures, and in particular the American firm McKinsey.
The State would have ordered several reports from him, sometimes useless, invoiced several hundreds of thousands of euros.
The consulting firm is also suspected of tax evasion.
This episode of Code source is told by Aubin Laratte, journalist at the news section of Le Parisien, Pierre Maurer from the political service, and Timothée Boutry, journalist at the police justice service.
