She replied directly to the tweet about the flood of paper when exchanging a driver's license.
Unfortunately, she doesn't have a fax in her office, says the 38-year-old - but she'll chat right away with colleagues who would support the KVR in matters of digitization.

A whopping 13 pages of printouts are neatly lined up on the parquet floor.
The request from the Munich resident, which was certainly not meant to be taken seriously: "Can someone please print out the photo and fax it to the responsible office?" What makes the bureaucracy madness necessary?
The man needs a new driver's license card.

Because the Bavarian state capital also applies: "By January 19, 2033 at the latest, all driving licenses issued up to January 18, 2013 must be exchanged for a card driving license limited to 15 years."
This stipulates that first it is the turn of holders of the gray and pink driver's licenses - staggered according to their year of birth.
