A terrorist group planned to kidnap Karl Lauterbach.

Thanks to an undercover agent, there are now new details.

You sound like in the movies.

Berlin – In April, a group that wanted to kidnap Health Minister Karl Lauterbach and overthrow the government was exposed.

The plan resembled the script of an action thriller, as the current investigation shows.

So the minister should be overwhelmed in a talk show.

The "terrorist organization" referred to by the Federal Court of Justice apparently also planned to visit Vladimir Putin.

Operation "Klabautermann": Lauterbach should be kidnapped in a talk show

The fact that the plan could be thwarted is also due to an LKA man who was smuggled in.

The investigator gained access to the suspected terrorist group that wanted to kidnap the minister.

He was able to stay "in the immediate vicinity of the accused" for six months, took part in meetings and was a member of internal chat groups.

The investigators now know many details about the kidnapping plans from this LKA man and two confessed group members in custody.

They were to be accompanied by at least a two-week blackout, culminating in a coup d'état.

When it came to the site of the overpowering, the group also thought of a television studio.

After all, "talk show minister" Lauterbach was a guest 29 times in 2021 alone on "Anne Will", "Hart, aber fair", "Maischberger" and "Illner" ("Markus Lanz" not included).

The SPD politician should be taken away in front of running cameras.

During this mission, the alleged masterminds apparently did not shy away from killing Lauterbach's bodyguards.

According to investigations, an internal vote was taken on which politician should be the kidnapping victim.

The majority then chose Lauterbach as the “most hated” leader.

Internally, the group referred to Lauterbach as "Klabautermann".

Group wanted to kidnap Lauterbach: "Common rejection of the German state"

Four Germans formed the core of the group, including one person from the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut.

They have been in custody for more than six months after being arrested at a gun shop during a meeting with the investigator.

A number of firearms and ammunition, cash, gold bars, silver coins and foreign currency were seized during nationwide searches.

According to the BGH decision, the men met each other via chat groups.

Sharing the same ideology, they envisaged grand schemes to overthrow the "system".

The investigations so far show that all of the accused in the scene of those who - as so-called "Reich citizens" or "lateral thinkers", conspiracy theorists, supporters of National Socialist ideas or "Corona deniers" - reject the state constitution of the Federal Republic and its free-democratic basic order.

Planned Lauterbach kidnapping: Group planned visit to Putin

A new constitution was needed.

It should be based on the imperial constitution of 1871 - only without a king or emperor.

For this purpose, women's suffrage was planned "as a necessary adjustment to modern times".

Before that, however, they wanted to secure the recognition of the new government abroad.

According to the investigation, a group of about five delegates was supposed to take a ship across the Baltic Sea to be apprehended by the navy in front of the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad.

The group hoped to be able to speak to President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.

The plan failed and the investigation is ongoing.

The public prosecutor's office has so far assumed that the crime was "not further specified".

"In particular, neither a time nor a place for the intended kidnapping were planned," says the publicly available report.
