Al-Hasakah - SANA
The Swedish electricity generation facility has partially returned to service after it was suspended for four days as a result of the Turkish aggression, which targeted the gas plant feeding it with missiles, and led to the cessation of gas pumping towards the generation turbines.
The Director General of the Hasakah Electricity Company, Eng. Anwar Ukla, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that the facility has partially re-generated electric power by operating two turbines, where 30 megawatt-hours are currently being generated out of approximately 60 megawatt-hours produced from the facility in normal conditions, as two turbines are still out. The service is a result of the Turkish attacks and is awaiting its repair and service again.
Al-Hasakah governorate relies on two sources to secure electricity, the first through the Euphrates Dam, and the second is the Swedish generating facility, where the electricity coming from them is distributed to subscribers according to a specific rationing program.
