The Minister of Health François Braun, who has promised in the face of the pediatric crisis dedicated meetings in the spring, will set up an ad hoc committee on December 7 to prepare for the deadline and co-chaired by the former Secretary of State Adrien Taquet , the ministry announced on Tuesday.
This steering committee will be co-chaired by the former Secretary of State for Children and Families under the previous five-year term and by Professor Christèle Gras Le Guen, head of the general pediatrics and pediatric emergencies department at the Nantes University Hospital. and President of the French Society of Pediatrics.
This committee must bring together
"hospital and liberal pediatricians, general practitioners, child psychiatrists, midwives, child nurses and paramedical professionals, users and families, local authorities, school medicine, Maternal and Child Protection (PMI)"
, according to a list drawn up in a statement.
It will also involve the administrations of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Health Insurance and the other ministries concerned by the work.
400 million euros of new measures
Several work and reflection themes should be addressed by the participants:
"strengthening prevention in the daily lives of children and families, particularly at school, the role of the pediatrician in town and in the hospital, that of the general practitioner in the care of children, the management of acute pathologies in emergency, that of chronic diseases, the initial and continuing training of professionals in the health needs of the child, the development of medical and paramedical professions, the strengthening of the child psychiatry and mental health of children, the fight against social inequalities at the earliest age of life,
