Visual artist Samar Daoua from Baniyas goes through her experience with color to present distinctive artistic paintings, as she always repeats every time she finishes her painting that there is a more beautiful painting yet to come.

Doua explained that her beginnings with drawing were with the drawing book and the walls of her school since childhood, when the art teacher noticed her skills in drawing, encouraged her and helped her learn the principles and rules of drawing, and the motivation was for her to hone her talent through her participation in weekly traveling exhibitions for the talented.

Dawa indicated that the artist should always search for innovation and consider the aesthetics of things and people, so she was very attracted to faces. Her father's face was the first thing she drew, then she developed her talent to include landscapes, women, and others.

Dawa is a graduate of the Institute of Art Education in Tartous, who became a specialist instructor for visual and aesthetic art education at the Directorate of Education in Tartous. She finds that her role as a mentor is no less important than her role as an artist, because art, in her opinion, is a talent that contributes to the educational process, indicating that every gifted child needs someone to guide him, and here comes the role of Guidance by communicating with the teachers of the subject through the establishment of training courses for the curricula or his regular attendance in the class. You do not see that the administrative work limits the artist’s launch, but on the contrary develops and enriches him.

Regarding her drawing style, Dawa explains that she used the impressionistic method, then her vision developed to follow the expressive method. Her beginning was about faces and nature, using different tools such as lead and charcoal at the beginning, then she graduated to watercolors, acrylics, and finally oil colors, which are the majority. Brushes or a knife were used to mix colors, and in some paintings she used her fingers.

In addition to her passion for drawing, Samar loves to play the oud and seeks to develop her playing skills, stressing the relationship between visual art and music, as both are cultural aspects shared by civilizations since the dawn of history.

Doua has participated in many forums and exhibitions, and is currently working on achieving her dream of establishing her own studio, and holding her own solo exhibition to display her paintings until she reaches a mark that distinguishes her from others.
