Today, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia, through its monitoring of markets and commercial activities, seized quantities of gasoline and diesel that were illegally imported.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Ahmed Zaher, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the amount of seized gasoline amounted to 1,523 liters and 1,400 liters of diesel, adding that the necessary controls were organized against violators, as the total fines amounted to 28 million Syrian pounds.
Zaher pointed out that the seizures included a gas station in the countryside of Jableh, and the violator was fined 18 million Syrian pounds, in addition to seizing my supply for violating the possession of 300 liters of diesel for the purpose of trading in the substance.
A laboratory stopped working and disposing of an amount of 400 liters was seized, and two were seized with a violation of stopping work without prior permission and disposing of an amount of 600 liters of diesel illegally.
Zaher confirmed that the necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators under Decree No. 8.
